Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Our Wall for using ourwall.tv, the app, and the TV player (together, the "service"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

Who can use Our Wall

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private.

Your photos

• You own your photos and the painted portraits made from them.
• You give Our Wall permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the service for you, for example showing them on your TVs and creating the paintings you ask for.
• You confirm you have the right to upload each photo and, where needed, the permission of the people in it.

What is not allowed

• Anything illegal, or any sexual content involving minors. We remove this and report it as the law requires.
• Private or intimate images of other people without their consent.
• Content you have no right to use, or that harasses or threatens anyone.
• Trying to break into, overload, copy or resell the service, or to reach another family's photos.

We may remove content or close an account that breaks these rules.

Painted portraits

Painted portraits are made by an AI service in the style of public-domain masterworks. Results vary, may not look exactly like the people in the photo, and are provided for your personal enjoyment. You are free to keep, share and print the portraits made from your own photos.

The art library and screensavers

Art and screensavers in Our Wall are licensed to you for display on your own TVs at home while your plan includes them. Please do not download, resell or redistribute them. Using Our Wall in a business or public place needs our written permission.

Plans, payment and cancelling

• The free plan is free. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time in the app. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then moves to the free plan.
• Paint packs are one-time purchases. Unused paintings do not expire while your account is open.
• If something is not right, write to hello@ourwall.tv within 14 days of a charge and we will make it right or refund it. Otherwise payments are not refundable, except where the law says they must be.
• We may change prices or plan features. We will tell you before a change affects a plan you are paying for.

TVs and availability

Our Wall works in the web browser of many TVs and devices, but TV makers change their software and we cannot promise it will work on every model or forever. We may update, pause or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Email photos to the TV

If you share your family's photo address, you are responsible for who you allow to send to it. Photos from senders you have not approved wait for your OK. You can block a sender or replace the address at any time.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Keep your own copies of important photos: Our Wall is a display service, not a backup. To the extent the law allows, Our Wall is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You may stop using Our Wall at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if we must by law. When an account ends, we delete its photos as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
